Gol buys MAP Transportes Aéreos for $5.3 mm

Gol Linhas Aéreas has announced the acquisition of MAP Transportes Aéreos, a domestic airline with regional routes and from Congonhas Airport in São Paulo, for R$28 million ($5.3 mm) in cash and shares. MAP is Brazil’s fifth largest airline, with a fleet of seven 70-seat ATR aircraft operating on routes in the Amazon region from Manaus Airport and in the South and Southeast regions from Congonhas, the country’s largest domestic airport.

Interalli Group plans to install 1 GW of solar power in Piauí

The Interalli Group is developing three photovoltaic complex projects in Piauí, amounting to approximately 1 GW. The first of them, Marangatu (360 MW), in partnership with Canadian Solar, had its construction authorized by Aneel in May. The project won the energy auction held by Furnas in November and comprises 12 plants that will be built in an area of 1,500 hectares in the municipality of Brasileira.

JBS Fund for the Amazon approves first projects to receive $9.6 mm investment

The JBS Fund for the Amazon, established in September 2020, announces the first six projects that together will receive R$50 million in investments ($9.6 mm). The purpose of the fund is to promote actions to conserve and preserve the forest, improve the quality of life of local communities and foster scientific and technological development in the region.

JBS raises $1 bn with bonds linked to sustainability criteria

JBS informed the market that it raised $1 billion abroad with the offering of sustainability-linked bonds that will be linked to its commitment to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. The company says the funds raised will be used to extend the average maturity of its debts, refinance short-term commitments and “cover other general corporate purposes”.
