EDP Brasil targets to have 1 GW in solar plants in Brazil by 2025

EDP Brasil, part of European group EDP Energias de Portugal, is aiming to reach 2025 with solar plants in operation in Brazil that add up to 1 gigawatt in capacity, a company director said Monday during an online event with investors. The electric company’s plans would represent a strong advance in the renewable source, as EDP Brazil currently has only 50 megawatts in operational solar installations in Latin America’s largest country.
