Micro and small companies have 5.8% drop in defaults in 2020

Corporate defaults fell by 5.8% in December last year, when compared to the same month the previous year. The reduction was driven by micro and small businesses, which are the majority among businesses with open debts in the country in the period. Smaller enterprises had a retraction of 7.3% compared to December 2019, reaching 5.4 million, which represents 92.9% of the total of 5.8 million businesses with overdue accounts in December 2020.
