Brazil hits record with half a million units with distributed solar generation

Brazil has just reached a record 500,000 consumer units of distributed photovoltaic solar energy (DG), most of which are installed in homes (73.6%), said the president of the Brazilian Solar Energy Association (Absolar), Rodrigo Sauaia. Small businesses already account for 16.6 percent of all consumers, followed by the rural sector (7%), and industry (2.4 %). The rest, less than half a percent, refers to the consumption of public buildings.
