The states of Amapá, Amazonas, Rondônia and Roraima have the potential to generate 136 million cubic meters of biogas per year from solid urban waste and fish farm waste, shows a study developed by Instituto Escolhas in partnership with CIBiogás. This volume is capable of producing 283 GWh/year of electricity, enough to supply 107,000 households with an average consumption of 220 kWh/month and benefit 429,000 people.
