Brazil’s GDP grows 7.7% in Q3, but does not eliminate pandemic losses

Brazil’s GDP grew 7.7% in the third quarter compared to the previous three months, confirming the country’s exit from the so-called “technical recession”, according to data released by IBGE. The economy’s expansion was record-breaking in the third quarter, but still insufficient to recover losses during the country’s pandemic. In current values, the GDP of the third quarter totalled R$ 1.891 trillion ($363 bn).
