The GDP of Brazilian agribusiness will grow 3% in 2021, while the Gross Value of Agricultural Production (GVP) will increase 4.2% next year, estimated the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA). The Confederation considered that there are climate concerns for the main crops that can adjust the supply of grains.
Aneel opened public consultation to discuss the proposed budget for the Energy Development Account (EDC), whose preliminary value is R$24.1 billion ($4.6 bn). According to the agency, the proposal is equivalent to a reduction of 1.4%. This reduction was motivated by the effects of Provisional Measure 998/2020, which defined a new source of revenue for the CDE, using resources from R&D and energy efficiency programmes that were not executed or committed.
