Tourism reports losses of $7.7 bn during the pandemic

National tourism lost R$41.6 billion ($7.7 bn) between March and September 2020, the period of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. The amount represents a 44% drop in revenues compared to the same period last year, according to a survey by FecomercioSP. The retraction is mainly driven by the air transport sector.
