Biofuel producers classified as a step backwards for fuel distributors to reduce their carbon credit purchase targets within the RenovaBio programme. The programme creates a positive agenda that drives efficiency and values investments in clean technology. The reduction is seen by the industry as an authorisation to pollute.
The reopening of the economy has had a positive impact on smaller industries. According to a survey released by CNI, the small industry performance index closed the third quarter at the best level since its creation in 2012. The indicator closed last quarter at 52.3 points, up from 41.3 points at the end of July.

Banco do Brasil reported that it had released an extra R$1 billion ($185 mm) for rural credit lines to finance agricultural machinery. The interest for the lines will be 7.5 percent per year, with up to six years for repayment.

In October, Brazil exported 4.1 million bags of coffee, considering the sum of green, soluble and roasted & ground coffee. The volume shipped was up 11.5% from October 2019 and stands out as a new record in exports for the month and the second highest monthly shipment this year.
