Bolsonaro signs agreement to establish OECD office in Brazil

President Jair Bolsonaro sent a message to the National Congress with the text of an agreement whereby Brazil will open a representation in the country from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). This agreement is in line with Brazil’s request to join the OECD, which, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, could stimulate investment and the consolidation of economic reforms.

Anglo American evaluates participation in renewable energy projects

The Anglo American mining company is studying the development of new self-production projects for renewable energy in Brazil, similar to the one contracted to Casa dos Ventos. With this, it hopes to achieve the goal of consuming one hundred percent renewable energy from 2022 onwards in the country, and to contribute to the company reaching 2040 with a neutral footprint throughout the world.

EDP Ventures invests $ 350k in start up solution

EDP Ventures Brasil made a financial contribution of R$ 2 million ($350k) to Time Energy, a company that supplies technology and equipment to the electricity sector. The Campinas startup has developed an internet solution of things focused on the efficient management of energy consumption in commercial and industrial establishments.
