Revenues from SME with online sales grow 118% during the pandemic

The turnover of small and medium-sized companies with online sales grew 118% between February and August this year compared to the same period in 2019. Sales volume in the same period increased by 98%. According to the study, the closure of shops due to the Coronavirus pandemic has accelerated the process of digitalisation of these businesses.

S&P says Brazil’s recovery was faster and revises GDP to -5.8%

Brazil’s recovery from the stronger effects of the pandemic was faster than expected, according to S&P. The agency revised its GDP projection from -7% to -5.8%, while keeping the estimate for 2021 at 3.5%. In a report, S&P says three factors have accelerated the recovery: strong monetary and fiscal stimulus, lax social isolation measures and solid Chinese demand.

CNI: partnership has already released $2 mm for small factories

The partnership between the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and Caixa has already accelerated the release of R$11.35 million ($2 mm) in 57 credit operations for micro and small industries. CNI hopes that these micro and small entrepreneurs in the industry will take the lead in the dispute for resources in the third phase of the Pronampe, which will have an additional R$2.59 billion ($470 mm).
