Solar photovoltaic reaches five thousand cities in Brazil

Brazil has reached the mark of five thousand municipalities with solar photovoltaic energy installed, according to data from the Brazilian Association of Solar Photovoltaic Energy. According to the entity’s mapping, the country currently has 3.5 GW installed and 294,000 photovoltaic systems connected to the grid, which represent more than R$ 17 billion ($3.2 bn) in accumulated investments since 2012.
