Production in the pre-salt exceeds 70% of the oil and gas extracted in Brazil

For the first time, oil and natural gas production in the pre-salt exceeded 70% of national production, reaching about 2.738 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in July. According to Pre-Sal Petróleo S.A. (PPSA), a company linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, production corresponds to 70.26% of the total recorded in the country, of 3.898 million barrels per day.
