Brazil’s oil production drops 6.5% in May

Brazil’s oil production in May totalled 2.765 million barrels per day, up 1.3 % on an annual comparison, but down 6.5% from April due to the impact of the coronavirus on the sector, the ANP said. The agency noted that 34 oil and gas fields were temporarily shut down in May due to the effects of COVID-19, 16 of which were maritime and 18 terrestrials.
